Description

Bears small to medium sized round fruit with dark purple to black skin when fully ripe. The skin is thick and glossy. The arils are dark red in colour and has a strong sweet-sour taste.

From March depending on weather conditions.

Uses

Mainly for ornamental purposes.

Notes

Height and spread: +1,5m x +1m

*A light bearer and slow grower.

*Compact and dwarf growing, perfect for small city gardens.

*Excellent variety for containers.

*Tolerates severe frost when established.

*Leaves are dark green and the veins are coloured purple. Young stems are also coloured purple.

*A very tough and drought resistant variety.

*Very little pruning is advised.
