Description

Bears small to medium sized round to elongated figs with thick necks. The skin is thick, glossy and turns dark purple when ripe. The flesh is good tasting and dark reddish-pink in colour.

Uses

*Good for eating and for growing in containers.

Notes

*This is one of our "mistery figs" as the name was changed by the company that originally introduced it to South Africa.

*It is a very slow growing fig and not very vigorous.

*Compact growing with attractive leaves. It will be excellent for pots or small city gardens.

*Up to thus far it has been a light bearer only.

*The breba crop's figs are larger and off better quality than the main crop.

*Only light pruning is advised.

*Showed good tolerance against severe frosts.
