Yes, bears a large crop of early figs.

Description

Bears very large, elongated, pear shaped figs with thin green skin turning slightly yellow when ripe. The flesh is rich, very sweet and dark strawberry-pink in colour. Figs have small white dots on them.

Ripens

Ripens from late January.

Uses

*Excellent for fresh eating, jams, preserves.

*Excellent for small city gardens, pots and areas with severe frost.

*One of our favourite varieties.

*It is compact growing and the leaves have distinctive deeply cut sinusses.

*Very slow growing. Excellent variety for containers or small city gardens.

*This specific variety requires very well drained soil and should not be over-watered.

*It is a heavy bearer.

*Only very light pruning is advised.

*Tolerant of severe frost once established.

*Very resistant to splitting and souring.

*Recommended for most areas of South Africa.

*To improve the growth rate regular feeding with pelletized manure is advised.
